Well, a few hours after I posted on Tuesday that I was up for the challenge, I fell down and stomped, hard, on the broken ankle. So I've been even more sedentary than normal for the past two evenings, babying my foot.

Seems to be pretty much back to where it was before stomping on it. So, I think tonight I will try my luck with some upper body strength stuff that I can do sitting down, and maybe some non-impact lower body stuff (leg lifts, etc). Before I broke my foot, I was just starting to work on some specific quadriceps and hip weaknesses that were causing the same running injury to recur whenever I'd push my mileage.
