I love my haircut, thank you for asking! It didn't get a lot shorter (a good thing) but the shape is sooooo much better, and I don't have weird octopus tendrils hanging down from the lowest layer.

As for coconut oil, I don't mix it with anything. I spoon out a palmful from the same jar I use for cooking (always spoon, to avoid contamination, especially if you eat it too!), rub it between my palms to melt it, and slather it on my hair. I repeat until my hair feels saturated. When my hair is dry, it takes a lot more oil. I just give it as much as it seems to need, and then give myself a nice scalp massage before wrapping it up in a turban and going to sleep.
