Okay I am so weak...I straightened my hair, I can't help it. I feel like I look better with straight hair. I'm thinking about just getting a keratin treatment to smooth down the curl.

A keratin 'treatment' is damaging, might be the beginning of the end for already fried hair. Why not learn about heat free ways of straightening your hair like wrapping when wet? Maybe get rid of your flat iron for a while if you cannot trust yourself?
