I have natural blond hair (see avatar) I use honey to light up my hair in the summer.
Before I knew about lighten properties of honey, I did a DT in the lower part of my hair and sat with it in the sun. Totally forgot all about it and by the end of the day my lower part was a few tints lighter than the upper part! I was shocked... It looked dip dyed and I even made a picture of it (I will look for it and post it)
So, if you don't want the honey to light up your hair, be sure to heat it before use!
