Totally agree with Hootenanny! You're adorable and your hair is beautiful. Right now, the most important thing for you to do is read and learn how to take care of your hair. Looks like it could use more moisture. Your hair is very similar to the girl in your pictures. It could be the brushing that's making your curl different. Learn to finger comb. If you can't, use a wide tooth comb in the shower when your hair is full of conditioner.
If you can borrow the newer CG Handbook from the library, it has a DVD that might really help you with styling. I could never use the copious amount of product they use. But it shows you how to handle your hair and style. The ebook on the livecurlylivefree website is also a good investment--all of the information in one place.
Since you're a teenager, you probably need to stick with the drugstore type products. You need to decide if you want to do the CG method, or some type of modified version of it. If so, you'll need to learn to read ingredient lists.
You also may want to learn how to make okra and/or flax seed gel(s.) They end up being really inexpensive once you purchase the add in ingredients--it's a one time expense.
