I'm looking for a PT that isn't a hard hit of protein, but will help me determine if my hair really hates protein like I thought. I know gelatin is popular, is that gentle? Is it hydrolyzed? Ideally, I'd like a gentle, hydrolyzed wheat PT to help with my damage - any ideas?

Also, I'm going to do a cassia (neutral henna) treatment to help condition my hair. Since henna binds to the protein, I'm wondering if I should do the PT before I cassia? I've read a few of the henna threads- anyone know anything about this specifically? Thanks!
