3b Pixie Cut?
Recently I've absolutely fallen in love with pixie cuts. I have heard very, very mixed reviews about them, and I'm not sure what to think. I have a younger brother who wears his hair short, and when he does so his hair resembles this:
However, many are saying that the hair should curl a lot more at that length with 3b, so I'm not sure if they're wrong or if my brother's hair is just different from mine.

Regardless, I really like that hairstyle, or one like this:

Do either of these look like what people have found 3b hair to cut to?
Thank you! Any other advice about pixies would be greatly appreciated!

Nope, at that length, mine
was/is much curlier. Nice curls though.

I am growing out my pixie, which I loved and had for 3 years. I found having a trim every month to be very very expensive. I would cut my hair within an inch of its life and thought that it looked awesome. Exposure to high humidity (I have fine, porous hair) would make it either go very fluffy or very, very very (very) tight curls.

I was aiming for a Halle Berry look and realized that she must have relaxer in her hair.

I would suppose that a lot has to do with your hair, its thickness, its porosity. As well as how happy/healthy it is.

I have a pic of my pixie on Chloe7000's thread, here in 3 (curly pixies, I think, was the title). I also posted elsewhere what my hair looks like with similar length to those photos that you have included. My hair looks soooo much healthier, nicer curls, after starting a silcone free/sulphate free regime (the photo of my profile)

Thank you! Yes, after looking at old photos of myself with shorter hair, I think my hair would curl up more than my brothers does at that length.
I think this image is a better representation of what I would look like (minus the hair color and skin tone, I have nearly black hair with a tan skin tone)

I like that cut!
I wanted to make sure that my pixie kept a feminine touch so I had slightly longer pieces in the side burn area, as well as at the nape of the neck (so, tight to the head at the back, but then some little curls at the very bottom).

I loved smoothing my hair into different directions and found that heavier styling creams/pomades/waxes worked super well.

Here is a photo:

I'll take that into consideration when I get my hair cut. I'll likely post the photo here when the big chop comes so people can see the results ^.^

There's what it finally looked like! I absolutely love it.

Yayee! Good for you!
I think that you will enjoy this style and changing it up, simply with types of products etc (heck, I was happy to finally have a distinct style instead of a wooly blanket on my head).

Good for you and enjoy!
