Where did my curls go?

So some background: I've dyed my hair pretty much every color of the rainbow since I was 13/14 and I'm 22 now. 3 years ago my hair was relatively long and my curls were amazing! For some reason I don't have a ton of pictures and the ones I do have aren't great, but I've included them below. My curls were big, bouncy, shiny, and healthy, despite years of color damage and I even thought they looked better after sleeping on them!. I have used very minimal heat on my hair over the years, in the last three years the only time it's been straightened is when I do my bangs sometimes and twice when I went to stylists that didn't listen to me when I said I always wear my hair curly.
So when my hair was super pretty I went through a breakup and chopped it off, a year later I accidentally bleach destroyed my hair. I cut the damaged parts off 6 months later and my curls were pretty good even though my hair was pretty short again.
My hair is finally back to being long, but it's dull and my curls are mostly flat on the underneath layers (the top has pretty good curls, but they're still not as shiny and perfect as they were before). I did have to wear my hair up pretty much every day for the last couple years at my old job and wonder if that may have disrupted my curl pattern. I also just got back to using one of my Holy Grail products and am waiting to pick up the other (which is a kids detangling spray and idk how much difference it really makes) and I'm not really sure how long to wait to see if they go back to working for me.

Is there anything else I can do to restore my curl pattern? I have a haircut set for next month?

A haircut is a good step. I would recommend doing a "clarifying" shampoo and then adhere to CG and don't use products that have any silicones or sulphates. One product that is CG that is VERY curl enhancing is a "dupe" for Curl Keeper. (Curl Keeper doesn't work that well for me.) It's KY Jelly or a generic equivalent. Yes, this is right. I personally use the Walmart "Equate" generic brand which is more of a clear gel than other similar things and it makes my curls POP. It's super, super curl enhancing and costs less than $2 for a 4 ounce tube or less than $4 for an 8 ounce pump bottle (available at some Walmarts). I'll bet after several weeks of adhering to CG strictly, your curls will be back.
I assume when you say CG you mean curly girl routine? Is no shampoo only cowashing with conditioner, etc? If so that's what I've been doing for months. I finally switched back to the shampoo I used to use which is sulfate and paraban free. Made for ethnic hair, but did wonders for my hair before

I just switched to using a sulphate free shampoo; I got a 32 ounce size at Walmart for $6 bucks so I thought I'd try it and I do like it. Conditioner also cleaned my hair pretty well but I missed the "suds". LOL
If your hair is fine then a protein treatment or using products or conditioner etc with protein in it may be of help to restore your curls. There is fine hair that dislikes protein and coarse hair that likes it though, so you can only really tell by trial and error. Protein and catnip tea both help restore strength and perk to my hair when it droops.
