I'm wondering what products 3a curlies are using.
I've tried JC and it didnt work for me..weighed my hair down alot.
I poo every other day or so otherwise greasy and weighed down.
poo-de luxe (from sams club)
conditioner- de luxe: leaves very soft.
for styling-1. aveda be curly(try not to use makes me itch bad)
2. tressemme hydrology mix it with catwalk curls rock but the curl doesnt last all day. Looks great in morning but by 5pm its stringy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm currently pretty close to product-less as far as styling goes.
I 'poo whenever my hair tells me to using either BWC Moisture Plus or Aveda Detoxifier. Other times I use DevaCurl No-poo.
I use the BWC or Avalon Organics Botanicals (old formula) to condish and leave a lot in, then spritz with another leave in - Giovanni Vitapro Fusion.
I will use Kenra Platinum Grooming Pomade as a finishing product if needed.
I'm pretty well ensconced in HG land these days, and man does it feel good!
I'm thinking of trying the Avalon Organics 'poo 'cos it is on clearance at TJ Maxx right now, but other than that, I'm done experimenting.
I've been using a very small amount of Devacurl Low-poo every week or two, no other shampoo but I do conditioner-wash several times a week, with V05 Camomile Tea conditioner at the moment. I use either Elucence MBT conditioner or Aloeba, with Too Shea on the ends.
I use Curl Keeper and some Gelebration spray under all styling products. I rotate stylers according to the weather and my mood. The current lineup is Re:coil, Boots cream, Abba Botz cream, HE Humidity Defying Gel, Aussie Gel + Water, and Batia & Aleeza gel.
It sounds as if your hair is not as dry as mine -- mine does not tend to get greasy and weighed down. Of these stylers, I'd suggest either B&A gel or Abba Botz as being the lightest of the group.
I am using Back to Basics lavendar shampoo (sulfate free) with Aussie Moist conditioner. I really like the co because it is pretty thick. I leave a little bit in my hair after I rinse and then scrunch in Aussie gel + water. I am having pretty good luck with it. Since using it, I have gotten several compliments at work. I have had better luck with getting big clumpy curls if I don't comb or run my fingers through my hair. I basically smooth the gel on then diffuse partially.
