Does any 4a's self cut?

I've trimmed my hair recently but the shape is so boxy that I'm dying for a cut. I'm pretty tired of having to pull my hair out in order to get the ride shape, I just sort of want it styled and shape already so that I can add to it. But I don't want to make any crazy mistakes. So, do any of you self cut/shape your own hair?

I did my own BC, and I also trim my own hair (it's been several months though). I have trust issues with salon people, that's why. If you want to have a certain type of shape/style, I do suggest you go to a stylist that specializes in natural hair, though, to get optimum results.
I was cutting my own hair, too...but I had a weird crazy mullet looking thing going on LOL.

I found a cutter trained in devachan (professional curly cutters) and I went to her. She did a very good cut. It's in a style, but it also afros up really well!!
I do any trimming and clipping of the ends. Also, I did my own BC...

I does my own trimmin!
- don't let everybody elses long straight weave bum you out. don't let other people's big/long natural hair bum you out either. embrace what you have and rock it with confidence, because that's the only way you'll be happy. and whether you realize it or not you are somebody's influence. show them what it truly means to be confident.

I did my BC and trim my ends. I dont see any need to shape or cut at this point, thought Im not fond of the omniscent bangs I have. I seem to have natural layers so it looks fine.

I would recommend going to a professional for a shape though.

I used to do my own shaping cuts when I had a TWA but now that my hair has grown I can't really see the back well enough to cut properly.
