okay..I think I hate glycerin now..

atleast in a very very humid climate...which is odd, but it seems whenever I use products with glycerin (except QB)+ humidity..my hair gets really moist..and then dries up even though I seal it =(
but if I use it in the winter months when its supposedly the worst time ever to even consider it, I have no issues..

Anyone else have this issue?
my hair is like a four leaf clover, full of a 4ish mixture of luck!! or in my case..locks (~.^)
Sorry...my hair tends to love glycerin year round, which is weird too I guess.

I'm another that's never understood the glycerin is bad in winter arguement. Even though I use it year round, I've always used more in winter and cut back during the summer months.

Also, when I first discovered that my hair liked glycerin (first time being natural), I was living in western Colorado where on a good day the humidity reached 10% and that was year round not just the winter months.

Each head of hair is different that's why there shouldn't be blanket statements with regard about what to use and not use.

My hair and glycerin don't get along any time of the year. It's fine if it's in shampoo or rinse-out conditioner, but if it's in a leave-in or a moisturizer my hair will feel awful. Dry, rough, and greasy.

Everyone loves glycerin so much I thought it was my application or the products I was using. So, I tried different daily moisturizers with glycerin in different ways (and in different cities with different levels of humidity) and glycerin always makes we want to wash my hair and start over.

There's only one like it in the world!

Preshampoo - Joico Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm
Shampoo - KC Come Clean
Condition - Joico Moisture Recovery
Leave In - KCKT, Kiehl's Formula 133
Seal - Jojoba Oil
Moisturize - Rosewater
Realizing that glycerin doesn't work for my hair this time of year has been my biggest hair discovery so far. So much more defined and less poofy without it.
I have that issue. Glycerin in winter for me frizzes my hair to death!! I look like I stuck my finger in a socket.
