Products to fix heat damage??
Hi fellow naturals! =)

I BC Sept 14, 2010 and have been natural for almost 7 months. My hair felt like it needed a trim and I decided that I would straighten it. I put heat protectant in my hair and started flat ironing it, but it was difficult for me to do it myself. Instead I asked my mom to do it and she insisted on straightening it old school with the hot comb that you heat on the stove.
Since then I've noticed a little heat damage and my hair doesnt feel the same. It went from being very soft to brittle and my curls have loosened up in some areas.
Are there products out there to fix this?

I have heat damage. Some parts of my hair are straight, but when I did the ApHogee protein treatment it brought a wave back to them. I hope that when I do it again it'll get closer to my curl pattern, otherwise I'll eventually cut them or continue blending it with braid- and twist-outs.

You can try protein treatments...they have worked for SOME, not all. It depends on your texture, and just how fried your hair is.

You may have no recourse other than cutting it off, or trimming it as it grows.

You can also try braid/twistouts, and rod the ends. That'll help camouflage the damage.
