Beware of the Dominican Blowout

So in a spur of the moment I decided to get my hair straightened (mistake no. 1). So I went to the place I went to when I was relaxed, the Dominicans (cue dramatic suspense music). I asked her to rollerset my hair and skip the brush blowing, but she insisted that I let her brush blow, as she couldn't rollerset my hair as it was "too curly". So I did. My hair came out AMAZING. But I got heat damage and my curl pattern is overall slightly looser. I'm not devastated, but I have definitely learned my lesson. Ugh, so now I'm doctoring my hair back to normal, and clipping straight ends here and there. All for one week of straight hair. 😩 Here's a before and after:

Sorry that happened to you. I have seen those dbo videos on YT and I would never consider using that much heat because I know my hair can't handle it. I had heat damage when I was relaxed and had to chop really short.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it.
