Arch support will help with bunions (helping to take pressure off that joint).

I'm a bit of a foot nerd. It comes from 12 years of fitting highly specialized shoes (dance shoes of all types). I always used to use the scare tactics with those girls wearing bad shoes or refused to wear spacers. Bunions will eventually require surgery to fix which means they will either shave the deposits of the bone or break your toe and realign it with pins. And then it's no more cute shoes for you. Just orthopedic stuff. I threatened them with wearing Birkenstocks to prom. That usually got them taking better care of their feet.
