My hair hasn't been straight in over 6 months, but I went and got a rollerset for some pictures tomorrow and I'm really loving my hair right now. I never realized how hung up I was on having straight hair until now, especially after all the compliments I received today because of it. Even my mom said, you sure you want to cut all that off? All this makes me sorta second guess my decision to chop soon and I wonder if I'll feel just as pretty as I do with my hair straightened.

I've always heard from other transitioners they felt like straight hair wasn't really who they were. While I never felt like I was betraying something within me by straightening, I do worry about feeling attractive without straight hair.

How do you resist feeling differently about yourself with curly versus straight hair?
