Hey there! My screename is natural remedy because I believe the remedy to beauty is all about being natural and especially embracing your naturally curly hair!

A little about me:

I have grown up where practically every girl's hair is relaxed, permed, or naturally striaight. I used to blow dry my hair everyday in middle school...yes everyday (horrible I know!) And I was still made fun of because my hair wasn't poker straight when blown dry. It was still poofy so I always wore it in 2 buns. In highschool (I'm still in HS btw) for my first year I kept blow drying my hair. Sophmore year I decided to start going to a hair dresser to get it flat-ironed so it would look "good" and not poofy and frizzy looking all the time. Now I plan on entering Junior year with my curly locks of hair! At the end of sophmore year I had to wash it after putting some concotion on the ends of my hair. I was terrified, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY HAIR?! I finally learned how to work WITH my hair and not against it. Since then I'm nursing my curls back to health, you can check my comparison shots to see how well I'm doing. And I learned to forget about what others think about turing your "frizzy" hair into "long flowing straight hair"... I am so glad I found this board because I had been trying to follow advice on boards with mostly straight-haired individuals.

May the curl be with you
Mostly 3c and lovin' my curls

This is not a fashion trend, it's not a statement, it's pride for who we are and what we look like. And that is where our true beauty shines.
