I had the matrix one done last May...I was due for a touch up in November, but since I am pregnant I am waiting.

Touch up is not that bad for me with the roots. It takes me 20 mins to flat iron on the first day...I just focus on the roots and then slide it down the rest of my hair to avoid the line. It was great in the summer for I would say about 3 months I could wash and go...then I started having to touch up to roots. It still holds up well in humidity and rain.

Damage also was not the huge of a problem. You do have to get haircuts every 2 months and use the correct hair products. I have 3B super kinky/curly hair. It is now a little past BSL.

Totally worth it from my end.
