There are not fade preventive ingredients, per se; with the chemical processing of this line, once the small color pigments have penetrated, they then grow and become larger so the hair shaft will retain them longer. I am certified in several different color lines and nothing has been able to hold a candle to this one yet.

Do tell! What is this colorline?

I almost always end up sitting with color on my head for a very long time because my stylist is tied up with other clients. I'm sure I'm over-processed.

I just bought Ion Color from Sally's to do my own color. I was hoping the professional products from Sally's would at least come close to the Goldwell. I'm guessing that the product my stylist adds to improve gray coverage might cause damage and thereby increase porosity. What do you think? I just bought that at Sally's as well.

I'm with the others who'd like to know which products work with different textures and degrees of porostiy.
