So, I've stopped using sulfate shampoo in my hair for a few years, and after much research and thought ive decided to ditch the shampoo completely. right now i use just water every day, and conditioner to clean it every other day. ive just started to do this for about two weeks now, and so far so good. I choose my hair care products very carefully to make sure that it A) doesnt damage my hair any any way shape or form, and B) that its water soluble, n washes out with at least conditioner...... so far so good. so my question is this: is any one else doing the same or something similar or has any further advice? and is there something natural that can help clean my hair/scalp in case of emergencies?
any advice is good advice so thank alot
I tried just washing with conditioners but I got really bad build up.

mmmm i made this deep conditioner last night, with aloe vera honey tea tree an argan, didnt really feel that conditioned, but it felt super clean, could that be the tea tree?
Egg yolk. Egg yolk washes your hair nicely, absolutely natural, and heals the skin. Simply separate yolk from the egg white, wet your hair, apply yolk, rub it in, let it sit on your scalp for several minutes, and wash it off with lukewarm water. That's it.

Baked dark bread. Slavic women were famous for great looking hair, strong and thick. Did they have any shampoos? No. What they used instead, was home baked dark bread. The darker the bread, the better the effect. It is especially effective in preventing excessive oiliness of the skin. Unfortunately, mass produced dark bread does not seem to work as well, so find a small bakery where bread is still hand made. Then slice loaf into maybe 3/4 inch thick slices; let them dry out; take 2 slices of dried bread, put it into boiling water, and boil for about a minute; cool until it's warm to touch, put your hands in and smoosh bread into pulp; wet hair and apply this pulp; cap with plastic shower cap and let it cure in your hair for maybe 3 to 5 minutes; rinse off; rinse well, as small crumbs have a tendency to stick to hair. You're done. Oiliness goes away after just few applications; hair splitting on the end goes away; hair stays dry for a long time and becomes healthy; dandruff goes away. it's somewhat messy but as natural and as healthy as it gets

Thistle root tincture. This makes hair very strong and prevents hair loss, if caught on time. Just rinse hair with it daily and wash as usual.

I've recently started using Bentonite clay to poo with great results. I mix mine with AVJ, although you can plain water, I also add a few drops of tea tree oil, rosemary and peppermint EO because I like the smell and the "tingly" feeling on my scalp.
sulfate, silicone and protein free since 6/11
porosity - normal to low
elasticity - normal

love my curls
My own butter mixture
My own version of Terressentials mud wash
ooh yea that would work wonders! i did a hair mask with egg yoke aleo vera, honey and tea tree and my hair was soooo clean after it! i was just playing with with it of cause but it hink that it was the yoke and tea tree that did it when im back home i might get same bentonite clay, she has tones of the stuff.
