what's your current routine
Hey lovelies

I need some ideas/inspirations.. what are you currently using? what do you like about it etc, etc?

Hey :)

I've been experimenting lots... but this is what I'm pretty much doing with very consistent results.

Co-wash with treseme naturals moisturising condish,
then do a deeper condition with Tigi Moisture manic & leave on for the rest of my shower.

Wash out.. and comb a bit of Treseme as a leave in.

Do the Super soaker method, and scrunch in Nak curl definer creme.

Plop for about 10 - 30 mins, then add joico joi whip mousse. ( I was finding that if I added the mousse when after I supersoaked it was diluting it too much)

I love this mousse, it's quite crunchy when its drying.. but it's really easy to SOTC and leaves my hair so defined and I can't feel it after I've scrunched it out
I then either plop again for a bit or just leave to dry off naturally.

If I am short on time (which is most the time) I pixie curl diffuse.

For second day hair refresher I scrunch a little water through my hair, and then scrunch in some Aloe Vera Gel, just to calm the frizzies a bit.

I've been using a bit of coconut oil to SOTC but I'm not really sure its doing anything.. I don't really notice a difference if I don't use it.

I'm excited to see what everyone else is doing and using.

thanks for the reply...

I see your having luck with AVG.. can I ask how it's been drying for you. Always leaves me super crunchy and is impossible to SOTC in my hair. Also tends to make me frizz (even when wet!) weird.

One of the main things I've been doing is to use a different shampoo/conditioner each day. Have about 4 sets in rotation. This seems to be keeping my allergies at bay. Currently using Natures Gate, Redken Fresh Curls, PPS silk, Elvive mask (new one in white jar with red top).

I do my hair differently each day too. lol. So it depends on how much curl as to what products I use.

Which ever look I go for I wash, wrap hair in towel and then comb in leave in conditioner (using Muk at the moment). I've never plopped etc

Then if I want lots of curls I use joiwhip or KMS curl cream and do that diffusing technique that I put the link up on the other thread. A bit of wet setting and a pixie curl type method. This does actually give me second day hair. Interestingly I can't scrunch out the joiwhip at all from my hair.

If I want a looser curl then I am using PPS Mendz the Endz and air drying. Sometimes I blow dry the under neath layer with a round brush.

Straight - well I don't want to scare you all :angel12:

I put serum on my dry hair at the end of each styling method and on the second day. Am using David Babaii for that at the moment but an trying Argan oil. Not really liking the Argan oil. Think my hair is too fine to be putting oils in it.

OMG what an essay!

dw feral curls if only you could see my shower, i've bought a little basket thing to hang at top to put extra stuff in - my mum and brother (they aren't use to it, I've just moved back home!) keep commenting.. oops! least they don't have to share my shower haha.

I really just want to down size my routine. I just wanna be able to wash, condish and maybe leave in (usually behaves better if I have this step in) and a styler as max products. Trying to find something not too producty or heavy, as as soon as my hair starts to look weighed down I wanna wash it (looks dirty i think). A lot of products seem to make my hair feel dry and frizz up.

I'm going to be traveling a bit in the later bit of the year and i don't really wanna lug a huge amount around, and I wanna have a set kind of regime down by then hopefully (got about a month to figure it out!)

If I had to take just a shampoo, conditioner & 1 product it would probably be KMS Curl shampoo & conditioner and PPS Endz. I don't really need a leavin with the Endz.

I've started to go to a new salon were all the girls are curly and that is all they use as a product.

You can run your hands through your hair easily.

It does have cones though.

Have you tried Redken Ringlet? I really liked that too. Gave a natural feel but pretty good hold.

curlywurlygurly 08-31-2010 08:12 PM

I've tried several times to get the sample size of KMS curl poo and condish - HHWH never have it! grrr!

off to research both pps endz and redken ringlet.. thanks feral curls.

Now I've let my pj monster out I'm looking at CJ stuff too - YIKES!

oh forgot to ask if you don't mind me asking where are you going salon wise now?

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:21 PM.
