Who Cuts Your Hair?

Dry?! My hair is so dry it's like wire!

I'm currently searching for the best deep moisturiser and leave-in because my old reliables are not keeping up with the low humidity.

I wish it would rain for a month!

On the question of cutting; I get mine cut at Hair on the Square in Australia Square, but I'm a 2C wavy, so I would have different needs to a 3 or 4.
Hi,I had my hair cut by Paul at Joh Bailey's at Double Bay. I am really happy with it. It is no shorter but better shaped and stylish.
It normally costs $99 but by luck I went to their web site and got a $20 dollar discount voucher, so it only cost $79.
I have 3b hair and he spliced it. He is the best apparently at cutting curly hair at Joh Bailey's , and I will definately go back to him. I tried to recommend him in the list of Salon's on this site twice but the details were never entered. I don't know why??
But I had so much problem finding someone good here, i felt I just had to let the Sydney people know 'There is someone that understands curly hair.'Email me if you want more details.
(I cut my hair myself for 10 yrs before this experience, but will not any more!)
Hi guys,

I'd love to know who cuts your hair, and I'd love to see some more hot tips for salons. I'm cutting my own at the moment, but I'd love to find someone who can do a Devechan cut in Sydney.

And is everybody else's hair drying out faster than you can oil it in this drought? :-) To think, I used to complain about humid days and frizzies ...
Hi Fiona! Sorry I have been offline for a while, I was housesitting and got a new job, you know how it is. Yeah, my old reliable products are not so good in the drought either. I've oiled it a couple of times too. I think I will do a Curly Girl protein pak this weekend, perhaps it is that that my hair is missing in the drought.

Who does your hair at Hair On The Square?
Hi Noodle Hair,

So, you really think it was good? I read yoru initial account of it on this site and you seemed a bit dissatisfied - that Paul would not listen and that he wet it. It's the wetting it that @%#&$(%)(@ terrifies me - my hair goes straight when its wet and then they viviously rub it with a towel dry and there is just no curl for a couple of hours after that. So they cut it with zero curl and I end up looking 1970s. Would you go to Paul again?
Hi . I was satisfied with the cut. He did wet it but no rubbing and to be honest my hair is very thick and would be difficult to cut dry. I would go back . I am still happy with the shape and cut. He had a good feel of my hair and played with it dry before wetting it. So he knew what way it naturally went dry.I would recommend Paul to cut curly hair.
Sorry it has taken so long to answer your question, Resonant, but I've been a bit busy of late.

Darren (the owner) cuts my hair at Hair on the Square and he cuts it wet, which is fine for me because I always get it ironed after it's cut (it's my five-weekly luxury) but he is very good at listening to what I want, and he always discusses what I'm having before I go to the basin. Unlike some salons that send you straight to the basins as soon as you walk in.

I have a lot of hair and it has a mind of its own, but I've never had a bad haircut from Darren.
