Gaia Hair Salon in Sherwood (Brisbane)
Im trying to find the perfect hairdresser close to my home and I'm hoping that this salon is the one!!

Welcome to Gaia Hair

The website claim they use Eco friendly hair products and honestly Im very excited to book an appointment for the weekend possibly, has anyone from here been to it before??

Only problem is they don't seem to have their prices up online, I guess for every persons consulation is different.

But despite that it does look promising, and I plan to grow out my hair so I don't think I plan to see them religiously, but I think if the service is how they make it out I might..

anyways I will let you all know.. even if you don't all come here that often anymore, it'd be good to future brisbane newbies trying to find a salon I suppose.. :)

Good luck, hope it goes well. Always a bit stressful trying out a new hairdresser (well, for me anyway!).

Well my appointment was.. okay.

The salon was very nice but I found my hairdresser a bit rude and stern with me, kind of like she didn't really want to be there or she didn't want to cut my hair.. I think next time I will ask for someone else as others were friendlier than my stylist ..

She put cones in my hair and alas now my hair is all poofy and strange.. my stylist was kind of shocked when I told her that I use natural oils, like pure coconut oil, in my hair and recommended I use Moroccan oil, which was full of cones and stuff but I declined the offer of the products they offered to sell me.

The experience would have been nicer if I think I had a different stylist .. the other girls were very friendly, not sure what was wrong with mine..

I think I will go again, but not in the near future .. perhaps next year sometime when I NEED a trim..

They also gave me sample products and discounts as I was a first time customer so it was a pleasant visit but could have been better.

Oh, it's a shame it wasn't more positive for you, I don't know why people are like that, you'd think they'd make an effort when you're a new customer. Who knows what they're thinking.
I guess so long as the cut was good though, you can put up with a bit of rudeness. I've been lucky that hairdressers have tended to listen to my twittering about products and ingredients and been ok with it and I'm not cg so I don't really mind what they use.

it was disappointing, but maybe she was having an off day, the other ladies were very nice so next time i think i will just ask one of them to cut my hair..

well at the moment my hair is a bit frizzy even though i washed and did my usual thing last night, until i saw in one of the leave ins she put in my hair had protein in it!!! so im not too sure if cones were the "bad" ones or if it were the protein.. but i still like to go silicone free..
