1960s Sex Kitten Wavies
It was a time of very "done" hair, but there were also some gorgeous, big, unapologetic waves.
Brigitte Bardot

I think they're beautiful.

This is why I need my hair to grow! It wouldn't be quite this big but this is basically what it does with little encouragement. Which just looks flippy the shorter it is. (I'm just afraid I've waited to too late in life.)

Me too, Chupie! Do you think it's OK to be a 41-year-old mom and have hair like that? Mine could totally pull an Ann-Margret without even trying that hard. I wouldn't even need to tease it at the top.

Hells yeah. Why not? I'm going to be 50 and no one is stopping me from growing my hair as long and cool as it can be. One reason I started doing tutorials is I am a little put off that every tutorial out there are these young girls. We mature girls get to have fun too. And sometimes I think women think "fun" and "playing" with our hair (makeup etc) has to end at some certain age. I don't think so. The only ones who can turn that thinking around is us.

I don't understand the thing with long hair and age. It's not like once your a mom or an older woman you have to chop all your hair off. The other day I heard a woman tell another woman that she was too old to have her hair that long. I was baffled.

I don't get it either.

Bardot is so gorgeous it's heartbreaking. (and this from a straight gal!)
