Dean Koontz
Anyone here like Dean Koontz? If so, what are your favorite books by him?

Currently I'm reading Velocity which is good. I've read The Husband and Hideaway and both were excellent reads. Love his writing style.

I haven't read anything recently by him, but I did like a lot of his earlier stuff. "Fear Nothing" and it's sequel, which name escapes me, come to mind as favorites.

I like odd thomas, I have a collection of his earlier books.

I haven't read him in a very long time, but I used to enjoy his books a lot. Didn't stop reading him on purpose - I have to see if he's in the library since I'm trying not to buy books for a while.

I've read lots of his books and most were bought used. After I read them, I trade them in for something else. I just checked my shelf and still have The Voice of the Night (very old!) and all of the Odd Thomas books. I liked them so much I'm not ready to trade them in!

Odd Thomas is being brought to the screen, by the way! Odd Thomas (2012) - IMDb

By far - intensity! I was too scared to put the book down

By far Watchers followed by Lightning - liked many of his earlier ones better than now, though I keep reading them :) Velocity, Sole Survivor, to name a couple of the later ones I liked.

I like Odd, but I don't like all the Odd books equally well. Not familiar with Anton Yelchin, but he looks sort of like I pictured him.

I love everything he does. He's also a photographer. I actually met him in NY a few years ago and he was awesome! Go Velocity!

Wow! What's he like?

One of my favorite writers. Actually named my daughter one of the names from a book of his.

Hi. I've been snooping around the forums & stumbled on this post.
I've two of his books in progress. Intensity and Darkness Under the Sun on Kindle.
Just bought City in paper.
Can't really get into the Kindle books. Hope buying City wasn't a waste too.

I could not put intensity down so I read it in one sitting when I was a teenager. Constant adrenalin. It freaked me out to no end. Then I watched the movie which doesn't do the book justice.

Betty_Boop 01-01-2015 08:28 AM

Didn't know there was a movie.

Reading the Odd Thomas books now. Waiting on the last one.

It was really funny, he was surrounding by an entourage of statuesque models for a publicity party, but he actually stopped to talk to me, and he was very very nice and encouraging me to follow my heart as a fellow artist/writer... I'll never forget it, even though he prob won't remember me at all :P

One of the things I love about Manhattan is regardless of what field they are actually working in, if you're a creative, chances are high that you will connect with another artist (it really helps to have someone to talk to who is in the same space 'dreamwise')

p.s. --sorry for the late reply

It's been years since I read one of his books but I remember enjoying them a lot.
