ParticipantI usually have very small twists or a twist out. My hair is about 5 inches I guess. My hair is acting up. I just got it trimmed but maybe I need another b/c my ends ARE ALWAYS KNOTTED UP. I think it’s all the twisting and untwisting as well.
I let the conditioner sit for a while. It’s just my ends laugh at the conditioner:)
Where do I get a jibire shower comb. I also heard good things about the conair shower comb. I currently use a denman and this other brush/comb contraption. i need help

Ok…sounds like you wear your hair like mine pretty much..so maybe this will help.
Jilbere shower comb….Get it at Sally’s for 1.49……well it’s 1.49 in Cali
This is the only comb I use …period… except for my rat tail for parting.Tell me what conditioner you are using?…what products are you using period?
I haven’t trimmed my hair in about a year maybe, and it seems to help my twist/twistouts look better…my ends just curl right up.
Sounds to me like you may be having a moisture issue.
I tried the Denman early in my journey…didn’t really do anything I needed except clump curls for a puff or something..
I would stop brushing also…..I don’t think it helps our hairAugust 3, 2006 at 2:19 pm #532231iniece

ParticipantHere’s a method that works for me. After working conditioner through the hair while still in the shower, pile or push your hair upward to the top of your head. Then, using a wide tooth comb, begin combing a little bit of hair downward starting at the nape of the neck. The key is to only take a small amount of hair at a time and clear it out. As you move more and more hair down, you can begin combing all the untangled hair together. Keep doing this until all your hair is combed down and you can pull the comb through your entire head. Then, standing under the shower, begin rinsing the conditioner out while combing your hair at the same time as the water streams through your hair. I find that detangling is way easier while the water is running through your hair.
You can then reapply more conditioner as a leave-in. Your hair should be pretty tangle free at this point and easy to divide into sections.
The clearing your hair out while under the shower is pretty easy. My nieces who have 4a with some 3c can manage it pretty well.
