ParticipantIniece, as those two products contain shea butter, I was wondering whether your hair usually liked shea butter, or if they are an exception.
Also do you generally find it easy for products to penetrate your hair? I am having trouble finding products that absorb well, as my hair barely even absorbs water, far less other stuff.
TIA!

Sounds like you are having the problem I was having a year and a half ago.
My hair does not like shea butter in high contents…it cannot be one of the first 5 ingredients…lol….my hair always ends up drier w/ too much shea butter
But I did find out that it works well if it is combined w/ other butters & ingredients my hair likes like water, aloe vera, & essential oils …always need water first though..
Another thing I had to learn was that if my hair is not twisted or something the moisture evaporates quickly no matter what I use…
With that said…. I wear my hair in twists & twisouts 100% of the time because my hair is always moisturized, healthy, and very much no fuss this way.. I can work out, love my man..lol..& it’s like so what if you messed me up just twist me back up & I’m ready!
Also the big plus is that I have alot less breakage & literally no hair woes, not to mention the fact that people are always in awe that my hair is natural…it feels good…
PM me if you need more info…HTH

ParticipantI usually wash my hair and let the conditioner sit on a couple minutes while I do my shower thing, then comb…then rinse. That works great for me. 😉
