I have a 1cm long purple scar on my lower abdomen from surgery I had about 14 months ago. Will it always be purple or will it change to pink and then eventually just be a line? Is there anything I can use to speed up the change?

I also have a raised scar (same surgery) just under my tummy button that’s still pink and has only recently started to soften up is it going to flatten out or will it always be raised? Is there anything I can do to lessen it’s apperance?

I had a car accident which left a nasty scar on my forehead. My plastic surgeon recommended a scar patch. They sell them in the drug store in the first aid section. They help lighten up and flatten out the scars. HTH 😀
