site wonky when posting

From that article, you would think more would be put into the social media side? As an aside, the comment section took a turn I didn't see coming.

In the end, what does all of this mean for TextureMedia? According to this statement, NaturallyCurly and CurlyNikki will continue to produce unbiased editorials about brands and retailer offerings. Their community-oriented perspective, honesty, and integrity are to not be compromised. TextureMedia intends to leverage the financial support of Ultra/Standard to bolster their visibility, continue to empower, engage, and educate globally, drive conversations around ingredients with brands and retailers, and provide consumer insights to help brands and retailers better serve customers with products and brands that we actually want.

That article was from 2015 so I'm not sure it has much to do with letting the forums go?

yes, the article is from sept 2015. it's a process, when a company takes over, changes don't start that day. plus, i'm sure the forums weren't problematic at that point, just that now that they are, it's not where they want to put their money and it may work better for them.

here is an interesting side note. i ordered from "shop nc" on tues, and received the items on wed!!! 24 hrs for free ground shipping. normally from texas it would take 10 days for them the process, ship and then arrive. it turns out the items came from a warehouse right here on long island, one owned by the takeover company. i really believe the longterm goal is a shopping website. it is a business, and i have to admire them for where they got this start up.

so, when the guide is telling us that she has not heard from "admin," admin is not who we thought it was. and, why no article on the takeover?

Oh I admire how far they've come from just 2 curly headed Texans 20 years ago. And if the new owners want to get rid of the forum so they can concentrate on other aspects, that's fine by me. Just stop lying to us and simply tell us the truth. They've been lying about this forum since the "upgrade" in 2014.

This seems to be a problem with the server. WTF? why cant they fix it? its annoying as hell, and its been going on for YEARS, and losing members because of it?? This sounds like neglect or incompetence to me, or maybe its one and the same.

They can't fix the forums' problems but they have managed to add 2 new pop-ups to entice us to buy things (one at the top, one at lower right, both bright purple). My pop-up blocker and ad blocker don't block them. Nice.

This site is a mess. When I post, like now. I hit submit reply and nothing happens. Nothing........ happens......... Eventually I lose patience and close out the site and come back on, sometimes.

Really, this is absurd.

this is in the process of becoming a mega hair products shopping website. i am very sure within a year or less these forums either won't exist of only in a very minimal way as a feature to attract people, but certainly not the font of info and support it once was.
the articles are a joke, so full of erroneous and bizarre info or just fluff, just there as a 'lead' to attract sales. no need to gather factual info from the forums as the shift has totally done a 180 on what this website is about. what this was a few years back is a thing of the past. i consider myself lucky that i found it as i was floundering with becoming naturally curly. .

I only use the app. The overwhelming white of the forum on the website makes it hard for me to read the site, and I have great eye sight.

I am so frustrated with this website. I can't even use my "like" button now. When I post a reply it just freezes. I have to go out of the website and then come back in. I am a VERY LOYAL member - for years. You are going to lose all of us if this doesn't get fixed!

Unfortunately, I don't think NC cares. The app no longer works, and this site takes forever to publish a post.

I'm having the same issues too and as of today the "search" function doesn't work for me at all anymore.

to add to the list, the "first unread thread' function does not work. click on it,and it seems to respond, only to leave you at the beginning.

more and more it's becoming more annoying to be on here. now even just reading has become a chore.

i'm still having major problem with posting, freezes me out of site.

and, in addition, now when i clck on 'last unread thread,' it does nothing, so i have to go to last page and scroll down.

i no longer harbor any illusions that this forum will be fixed. it's just falling apart as they are enlarging the shopping side.
