Watch out for that alcohol denat. It didn't used to be in there but they reformulated it. I had really liked the old formula before the proteins got to me, as I discovered that I'm very protein sensitive. It was a combination leave-in conditioner and styler. Why they had to muck it up with drying alcohol is beyond me.

(3C, very dry)

Hmm, the denatured alcohol is so way down the list I doubt it would be bad.

Wow - that's alot of ingrediants :?

thickandglossy 12-06-2006 09:17 PM

Thanks for all the info!

Yeah that ingredient list is pretty crazy! :?

I have to learn what ingredients are bad. I only know to steer clear of anything that ends in 'cone.

What else should I stay away from? Cyclo(something) is a bad alcohol, right?

Cyclopentasiloxane is a silicone. I learned recently that the real name of many of them actually end in "xane". For some reason it became "all the rage", to the point that some COs found at health food stores that didn't have it now do.:?

For more info or to post your questions, look up the "sticky" thread called "Ingredient questions" at the top of the Index.
