anyone try any of the Condish Chronicles products yet?
I'm just curious if the Conditioner Chronicles have inspired anyone to try any of the conditioners from the review thread.

There's a review going of people who have used the Lacoupe conditioners on the Product Review board. I'm trying to like these. Laurabeth, Did you leave in any of either the Lacoupe conditioners when you used them. I love the way they feel in the shower, but it seems when I leave them in, my hair feels gunky.

laurabeth33 12-12-2006 10:39 AM

I generally don't leave in my rinse-out conditioner so maybe that's part of the difference. Thanks for the heads up regarding the Prod Reviews board.

We of course got the cheaper one with the really good rating. Both Lacoupe's although the most has been said about silky smoothing and someone is about to try that Desert essence.
I just used my Elucence Moisture Balancing Condish. I had forgotten how moisturizing it is.

LaCoupe so far is the keeper of the cheaper ones and it has my A cone in it which takes care of frizz for me. Oh and did anyone see it has that murmur? umm whatever it's called in it

Yup, Laurabeth, thanks for finding the LaCoupe Shine and Smooth! It's my favorite conditioner right now, and gives me really awesome spirally curls.

I might have already posted this, but I ran out and purchased the Bigelow Not Your Ordinary conditioner after reading your rave, and I like it every bit as much as you did. I think my curls are tighter on third-day hair than they are on my first day! I'm now trying to persuade my 3c husband to give it a try.

Well I was excited to see that some of the condishes that I already have got your top ratings (Too Shea, Elucence, Suave Coconut, Curls Ectasy Asian hair Tea). So I will be ready to repurchase these on payday. I'm also trying to get my hands on that Kenra and La Coupe conditioner.

I've tried the LaCoupe. I like it!

Sunderella 12-12-2006 01:46 PM

I have tried:

Oyin Honey Hemp, this conditioner defintaely is awesome for detangling and 0 frizz, and I even tried to get my hair to be frizzy, it's extremely moisturizing and more of a treatment Co for me than a regular CO as it can be a little heavy for regular use and darkened my blonde hair a bit. It made my hair VERY silky, would be my choice when/if I choose to blow out.

DevaCare One C, This CO is the bomb for my fine hair!! It greatly increased curl gave awesome body, and awesome moisture, I am so impressed I purchased 2 liter bottles

i was thinking about trying jessicurl products before the chronicles. they tossed me over the edge for sure! now, i just have to break down and be willing to pay shipping . . . i hate that!

so, i've definitely been inspired, even though i'll probably wait until after christmas to take action.

I tried the Nature's Gate Aloe Vera - It made my hair have a LOT of spider weby frizz, but you said that it gave your hair spider weby frizz, anyways. And it didn't detangle well, either. But my hair has been really crappy lately so that could have something to do with it. (Or, conversely, the condish could have had something to do with my crappy hair).

embudini 12-12-2006 06:19 PM

I'm counting on my parents to get me an ulta gift card and/or a curlmart gift certificate. Then I will try some conditioners!

talltwinmom 12-13-2006 10:48 PM

I'll be trying the CO Bigelow condish after I get the gift certificate that my kids are sure to give me for BBW. I also want to try the LaCoupe but I'm making myself wait until I run out of my existing stash (which is thankfully running low). I will definitely NOT be making any "no purchasing hair-related items" as a new years resolution!

redcelticcurls 12-14-2006 12:35 AM

No, because too many have stupid protein or glycerin. It did come in handy to see that I really can't use much.

I did find a Steiner one that wasn't on the list that I might try though it's pricey.

After the holidays, I'm just going to try to make my own. That way I can have the good stuff I want without the other stuff that I don't want.

Walked all over the mall yesterday and went to 3 Bath and Body Works to find the Bigelow cond. I guess they have to be a "flagship"store to carry it.
However, I tried it this a.m. and the walk was worth it. Smells great, very heavy cond. which did not feel like a drugstore cond. I think I got even more curls than with the LcCoupe. I just hope it doesn't build up because it's not a light cond.

Called my mom in Florida to look for the CO Bigelow Not Your Ordinary Conditioner. I thought it was only available in drugstores down there (don't know where I came up with that).

Are you telling me I can find it in Body and Bath Works here in New York?

I couldn't find it in two smaller Bath and Body Stores but went to what they called a "flagship" store ( a larger store) and they carried the line. I would call your Bath and Body Store - I'm sure one in New York would carry it. It is also on the Bath and Body website but not CO Bigelow. I can't figure that one out.

Yes! Laurabeth=enabler! :D
I love love love Too Shea (I thought it was going to be too much for my hair in terms of conditioning, but it's perfect!), and love love love the Mop Top Conditioner. Both are HG's now.
Thank you so much! My hair really thanks you too!
I'm waiting for a styling products chronicles.....

I tried the Desert Essence Italian Red Grape & the Nature's Gate Asian Pear and Red Tea conditioners. I am on the fence about both because I do find them pretty moisturizing, but I need quite a bit of both in order to saturate my hair. The Nature's Gate seems to detangle better, but neither are that great at detangling. I really want to try the C.O. Bigelow conditioner and may purchase it this weekend. Laurabeth, if you see this, did you have a problem with the protein in this conditioner? Or are you not very sensitive to proteins? My hair has a hard time with hydrolyzed wheat protein if it's high on the ingredient list, but it's about half way down the list on this conditioner. I hope it doesn't dry my hair out.

I was asking where else CO Bigelow and LaCoupe conditioners are sold (besides Bath and Body Works and Ulta), but just saw that they are available on Curlmart. Thanks!
