I think I found my HG products !

I ordered a Jessicurl "rich" collection trial pack. It arrived on Saturday (with much grumbling from dh-"why are you buying more stuff for your hair, AND paying for shipping?"

Anyway, I've been using the products since then, and have gotten pretty great curls everyday! I'm so psyched-after buying umpteen different products it's so nice to find something that actually works

I use the HCC every other day, and the Too Shea, Rockin Ringlets and Confident Coils everyday. I've tried the spray for refreshing mid-day curls (not gelebration, but the name is escaping me now) and it worked.

I plan to try the deep treatment this week. I also received a free sample of the hair softening oil, so I'll give that a try as well.

I just wish I didn't have to order the products online and that they were less expensive-but the quality is so great that it's worth it.

If I visit a friend with a digital camera, I'll try and post pictures.

Thanks for listening-
So *we* were not going to buy any more hair products until after the holidays, HA!

Well, I didn't stick to my resolve either but I went for very modest stuff. I bought a bottle of Suave Milk & Honey (so I can have a more objective opinion and to use it as a "base" to experiment with) and 2 L'Oreal Studio Line styling products (but they were *on sale* ). However, it's all I can do to not go into a health food store and get a CO from there, I have to keep reminding myself that I already have enough COs to tame THREE heads of curls for a year (or more!)

Kidding aside, I'm very happy for you that you've found something that excites you, that feeling is priceless!

After about 8 months of CG, my hair is finally starting to look really good, though I really need a good curly cut, which I'm going to take care of next week. I've tried my fair share of products, and I must say I like Jessicurl the best.

However, I don't buy them directly from the Jessicurl site, I buy them from Curlicious.com, as the shipping is significantly lower there. The only drawback is that you can't buy samples and trial packs, just the full size products.
In the united states shipping is cheaper at Curlmart for Jessicurl stuf. It's a matter of a dollar I think? But cheaper than curlicious or the actual JC site. I love me some cheaper shipping. Now if you get 75 or more at curlicious you get free shipping.

It's so nice to find something that works isn't it?
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
I love Jessicurl products, especially the conditioners. I just have no interest in trying new conditioners any more.

Thanks for the information-I'll order from Curlmart next time. I ordered from Jessie's site when she had the five dollar shipping special.

There is a salon about fifty minutes from me in NJ that sells her products-but I have zero sense of direction and would probably get lost and spend more money on gas than the cost of shipping :P

Curlyburg, good luck with your new haircut!

Take care,

I once had my HGs and for a good while stuck to just them. But when I lightened my hair it got damaged and they didn't work anymore. Even after I cut the old hair off it was not the same; just as the Dove commercials say the needs of lightened hair are different than when darkened. Besides, both my fave COs got reformulated so I'm out of luck. I tried the Aloeba but the oils overpowered my hair (not for fine hair in S. FL weather!), also it's not as detangling as my long hair needed so I only used it occasionally until it ran out.

But it was definitely a mistake to get that Suave M&H, I used it last night and it turned into a "horror story" (posted it on the Shampoo-less forum...) but I'm a slow learner I guess! Once again I am repeating the mantra "I will not buy any more COs no matter what, I will not buy any more COs no matter what, I will not...!"
