Hair Troubles-Advice

I rarely post new threads but I just have so many specific question.

Firstly: I noticed that I always (always) have straight ends popping above my head. Even when I'm taking a shower they stick up. At first I thought it was because of my relaxed damaged hair sticking around, but when I did have my hair relaxed it was never straight just looser curls. Then I thought it was because my mom has naturally straight hair maybe I got it from her, but is that possible?

Next: On the sides of my head the curls are always less defined than in the front. I thought it was because I was sleeping on them so I got a satin bonnet. It did help but it's still frizzy. Maybe I have to put more conditioner in, I don't know.

By the way my hair is too short to put in a pineapple or braid or anything.

Lastly: The CG method says that you condition your hair once a week but I find that by the 4-5 day my hair gets dull, little dry, and dirty. I don't want to just put conditioner in because I hate putting clean stuff on dirty stuff. So is it...ok if I condition twice a week? I don't want to mess anything up.

Thank you for reading.
If anyone could answer any one of these 3 questions I would thank you!

Hello, Mitchell,

I can address your last question.

While I can get multiple day hair with a good cut and the right products, I like to condition my hair every other day or every third day at the most. My hair tends to run dry enough that once a week conditioning just wouldn't cut it.

Everyone is different though, and you'll have to experiment with trial and error to see what works for you.

Also, conditioning more frequently could help the straighter ends if they are just straight from being dry as opposed to old relaxed bits remaining.
