Rotating products--normal or not

I have ordered samples of cleansers, conditoners, stylers and DT from curl junkie, jessicurl and spiral solutions. I already have devacurl stuff. How many different brands do you all have and is it possible that products are best to be rotated?
I use mostly Kinky Curly and Curl Junkie. I don't need to do much in the way of rotation except for some seasonal weather related tweaks. My routine is pretty solid and it works; why mess with it.

Plenty of others do best with rotation. It just depends on the individual.

I know many ladies on these board feel their hair does best when they rotate products from day to day to keep their hair from getting "satiated" by a given product.

To add to your original question, I'm wondering if those of you who rotate are switching between products with different types of ingredients or not. Now that I've found what works for my hair, pretty much all the products I own are based on the same ingredients...Does rotating even make sense in this case? Or is it better to seek out alternate products with different types of ingredients all together?
waves, loose coils, and cherub curls (=mixed 2s through 3a), very fine texture overall (but with medium and even coarse strands scattered throughout)
I seem to switch up products daily only because I have so many I can't remember what I used the day before.. I only shampoo once a week and co wash every other day so this product switching deal seems to work out pretty good for me..

I switch around my products only because I haven't found a set routine or formula. Some people need to change things because of the seasons or a new haircut.
2a, fine-med. text, normal porosity (I think)

It all depends on what your hair likes. There are some people that need to switch products around (an example would be Kathymack) because they feel like their hair gets satiated on one product if they use it for too long. And there are people like me, who use the same products over and over and over and feel no need to switch it around! My hair has never told me otherwise. Just go with what your hair is telling you. If it's starting to look limp, lifeless, frizzy, and blah, switch it up and see if that helps. Even if your hair doesn't NEED a change in products, you might do so anyway, because you like what both products do to your hair.
Type 2c/3a with lots of hair and a super sensitive scalp! Med/slightly coarse texture, low porosity and elasticity.

I do rotate my rinse out conditioners since some have protein and some do not. I try not to have more than three or four days in a row of a protein condish because my hair doesn't always need it. I do use the same shampoo though!

I always like to change what styling products I use though. I rarely use the same combo two days in a row simply because I like experimenting and because I have a lot to use!
Coarse texture, normal-high porosity, normal elasticity (Komaza Care), very weak waves
cleanser: Redken Fresh Curls Shampoo, CJ Daily Fix

rinse out: GVP Conditioning Balm, CJ Beauticurls, CJ Smoothing

jellies/creams: CR Curl Maker, KCCC
gels: CJ CQ, CJ Pattern Pusha, BRHG

I don't rotate. But, of late my hair hasn't been responding to Aubrey Honesuckle Rose the way it used to (unless I dilute it with water...go figure).
My signature style: the "braid n' curl"
High porosity, normal elasticity, high density, thick strands, DRY (must moisturize/oil and DT a lot), tangles easily. Highly textured...curl softener+demi-perm color.
Straightened length: Waist (layers)
Textured length: (variable) full SL to BSL

Condish/Shampoo: VO5
Pre-poo: mild protein(VO5)+castor oil+tea tree
Steam treatments: 1-2x weekly
Daily routine and DT: Moisturize w/ Aubrey Honeysuckle Rose+Olive oil and seal w/ Avocado oil
I rotate my CO wash conditioners (which is the same thing as rinse-out for me) weekly. I just love trying new conditioners and I rotate weekly so that I can keep using different ones. Right now I have about 8-9 that I use, changing weekly. I can usually tell in a week if the conditioner is a keeper or not -- if it's not a keeper I use it for shaving.

I rotate my stylers too, mostly on whim but sometimes based on weather forecast.

I started rotating products out if necessity, but I became such a PJ that I also enjoy trying new things. Before I started rotating I found that I started developing allergies to the products I was using daily and stopped being able to use them, even after taking a break from them. I had to do the same thing with anti-perspirants.

Once I started rotating I stopped having issues. I am still sensitive to products; I stick to those that are as natural as possible, but I no longer develop allergies to products that I am using. I also switch some around depending on weather. I also never have a problem with buildup. I can't remember the last time I had to clarify.
Type: 3a fine & dense, with normal porosity, terrible product junkie
ROUTINE: LI, enhancer, gel, plop with Curlease towel, serum product (either CIAB or Gel-les'c), clip & diffuse.
Too many favourite products to list ... I finally have my routine that works and alot of products to choose from. My product stash is huge, but well loved !!!
I, too, rotate due to being such a major PJ. I have so many products and enjoy trying new stuff so much that I have to rotate or I would have tons of products just sitting gathering dust. Can't have that now, can we? My hair also just does better when I rotate. For lack of a better description, it seems to get tired after awhile if I use the same product over and over. When I change products, it perks back up. - pw: gibber -- Pics Added 7/10/11

I have a pretty solid routine also. When I first started CGing, the first thing that I tried worked well. I was afraid that I could be missing out on something that worked even better, so I tried something else. I didn't really find anything that didn't work well, but some work great. I mostly go by my perceived hair condition, the dew point, and whim. But I don't rotate for the sake of rotating. Why tamper with success?

Mostly, I use a mix of DevaCurl B'Leave In, Kinky Curly Curling Custard, and DevaCurl AnGEL or DevaCare ArcAngel, which I can use year round by tweaking the balance.

However, I absolutely love Curl Keeper. For me, it's more of a late spring, summer, and early fall product. My hair is so soft, natural feeling, easy to refresh that I tend to switch over to it once the dews hit about 45F.

Okay, and I love FSG (with Jessicurl Confident Coils if I need some extra hold), and can use that year round. Another good one for soft, natural feeling hair.

I rotate because I bought a bunch of stuff to try and I am still experimenting. I have decided I absolutely love curl keeper with recoil over it though so I am often tempted to just use that, however I have so much other product to use that I switch it up.

I do rotate - but from a 'set' - eg I 'wash' 2-3 times per week but only use CJDF once because my hair only needs it once per week (use Tresemme naturals condish on the other days); I DT at least once per week but switch between JCWDT and CJH&BDF; I really only need protein once per week and am fine with using the same condish each time (on DT day). The two products that I can use everytime (if I wish to) are CJCCCC and BRHG.

For me, it does make a difference if I switch around - I generally get better hair days.
UK - 3a/b med/coarse - mix normal/ high porosity.
Currently in my rotation:
Cleanser/Cowash: CJDF,
Tresemme Naturals, DGJ Hairjuice clarifying, Urtekram Lavender
Conditioners/DT's: CJH&BDF, CJCR, DBPSC, AOWC, Y2C
Protein: AOGPB, Joico Reconstruct Condish (regular not PT)
Leave Ins/Curl Creams: CJCCCC, CJ Smoothing, KeraCare/JCAC
Gel: FSG, BRHG, Giovanni LA Natural Styling Gel, L'Oreal Studio Mineral Control Invisi'Gel
Oh, yes, and re:coil. I always use re:coil. It's the first styling product I apply (including under Curl Keeper).
