I have been natural for at least 15 years. However, the majority of the time my hair has been super short (like shaved on the sides and an inch or so on top). I think my hair type is closest to a 3c. I have been growing my hair out for the past 9 months. I have four to five inches now. In the past my hair care routine would be to wash my hair EVERY day and apply mousse afterwards. I really had no problems with that, nor did my hair. It seems like that was the only thing I could do for my short hair to get a nice style. But now that my hair is getting longer, I have been trying other products (jane carters curl defining cream, kinky curlys leave-in, ecco gel, pantene frizz control conditioner, and cream of nature extreme moisturizing conditioner). I have even tried cowashing. I dont like how cowashing leaves my hair feeling. The curls arent as defined and it doesnt seem to give me the hold that I want. I feel like I get the best results when I wash everyday and style with a mousse. However, the style doesnt last longer than a day, the reason I need to wash everyday. What should I do???
