Advice on hair cuts

I've recently cut my hair to shoulder length was just getting too long and a pain to wash.. After desperatly going around to every hairdresser I can find in the area, just to find them all booked for the day, I went home and chopped it off my self.. a bit shorter than planned.

I been getting my hair layered, after reading about layering on this forum 2 years ago, but I don't want to end up with puffy hair from layers too short (my hair is more often frizzy than not) and I certainly don't want it shorter than it already is.. but I need to rid myself of this triangular look.

I've never had curly hair this short so I just don't know what to do.. I have booked an appointment for a haircut tomorrow, any advice on what to do?

well, one idea may be to snag a picture off NC of someone with a similar hair type and style that you like for that length, then ask your stylist to try and recreate it, just so you have a good guide going in.

i agree with bringing photos. in addition, here is a thread started by a nc member who is a stylist. it contains some good info:
[FONT="Arial Narrow"]
3a, some 2c & 3b, medium texture, porosity normal, low elasticity
washing/cowashing, conditioning, protein tx: [I] curl junkie products
leave in:cj conditioners and treatments as leave in
styling: cj aloe fix gel, cj pattern pusha, cj honey butta leave in, cj cccc, cj ciab.
sealants - jane carter nourish & shine
Problem with photos is the taking care of later, I've seen some really nice pictures of haircuts, but I don't think I can make it that neat, and am scared to get it so short

I shall read through that thread though and take with me whatever I can find.

Thank you for the replies
