5 healthy hair practices that...

...can cause damage if done to excess.
Ladies and gents alike I was reading this short blog type article on "black girl with long hair" and was interested in hearing your thoughts on the subject.

Five Healthy Hair Practices that Cause Damage if Done in Excess | Black Girl with Long Hair

1. Deep conditioning
2. Applying product
3. Letting hair sit in protective styles
4. Trimming
5. Following the advice of hair gurus

Has doing any of these in the past stunted any hair growth or are you doing any of these currently, will you change how you do any of them particularly 1?

A few nights ago I slept with the conditioner in my hair, something which i don't really do anymore but it was last by the time i had finished doing other things so just rinsed in the morning.

Just #4.. I am only trimming once a year now. I already don't excessively deep condition, protective style, or leave in styles for long periods of time (my hair wouldn't let me even if I tried). As for "hair gurus" I only follow the occasional styling tutorial if I need help with a particular look.
"The challenge is to be yourself in a world that is trying to make you like everybody else."
"...rationality is not necessary to sell things.."
My staples: Mane n Tail (cowash), Garnier Fructis Sleek n Shine (leave in condish), Grapeseed oil or shea butter (sealing), Organic Root Stimulator Elasticitea (leave-in condish & light hold)
