Do you ever brush/comb your hair?
If no,why? and if yes, with what type of brush?

I use a wide tooth comb after I shower to detangle and make my part. Then I scrunch in my product.

Wide tooth comb in shower before rinsing conditioner out. Then again a quick comb through again out of shower before I put products in

Wide tooth comb in shower to comb through conditioner (actually I can usually comb through low-poo as well) and

Wide tooth comb to comb through curl creme before scrunching in gel.

If I don't, my hair is disheveled and tangly, doesn't set up right.

I use my wide tooth comb while I'm in the shower or when my hair is soaking wet, I also have a Conair Denman brush I use. I use a Boar bristled brush just for the edges and the nape of my neck.
I use a wide-tooth comb to do my part (wet, in the shower) and to comb through conditioner when I've coloured. I also use a Denman to dry-brush before I colour, otherwise there's just too many tangles.
3b in South Australia.
I only detangle once a month with big comb and googobs of conditioner. Other times I just use my fingers and conditioner.

Sometimes I brush edges to lay flatter but only after putting on a lot of conditioner to protect the hair.

Another wide tooth comber here. After raking in my leave in condish, I comb it through and do the same with my gel before scrunching. I find the product gets more evenly distributed that way.

I use my fingers to detangle in shower combing n brushing is just not for me.
No combs or brushes here. I'm trying to grow out my hair and want to be gentle with it. My hair doesn't get very tangled anyway, so my fingers work just fine. I like being able to feel the tangles/knots with my fingers and then gently work them out.

I don't brush my hair and haven't done so since the 80's, because it makes it look awful.
I do run a cheap brush with plastic bristles through it when I deep condition, to get any loose hairs or tangles out. That happens about once a month.

Never. I don't find it necessary, and I think I get some breakage from doing it. Even when I trim my own hair, I do not use a comb. I let them do it at the salon though.
Formerly Urbancurl.

I use a medium tooth comb in the shower to detangle (the one that comes with Wen, the finer end), and then I use a fine tooth comb to do my part and sort of comb my hair to lay the way I want it to. Tangles aren't an issue for me, and although I have medium density hair, the individual strands are fine and easy to comb. I've never had any breakage issues.

It all depends on length of hair. When mines was short I could comb it but now that it's super long it takes too long trying to comb it out even with lots of conditioner.

One time I stood in the shower for 2 hours and eventually just gave up cause I'm not gonna comb it fast and break my hair. So I started doing the "1st of the month" detangle regiment.

Im doing my part to save the planet though I still keep the water running whenever I'm styling at the sink.

I finger detangle with conditioner in the shower, use a wide-tooth comb to distribute my PT, and use a condioner/detangler comb to comb through product as needed (Curl Keeper always, but will also comb to re-clump if my hair is looking stringy when I'm adding product).

I use a wide tooth comb in the shower for conditioner and a denman to distribute product. I've tried it the other way around but I get better clumps using the denman after applying my leave-in, curl cream, gel, etc.

Fat Thumbs + iPhone = Errors 
I appear to be the only one right now using a brush. I use a Denman brush AFTER I use my leave in conditioner. It distributes the conditioner and creates great individual curls.

I also use it when doing a deep condition. This way I am certain that all my hair is being conditioned.

3b, Medium-Coarse (slight coarse charactericstics), Normal porosity & Low elasticity per Curl Wizard Profile.

What's a brush? In the past 20 years nothing but wide toothed combs or digits have touched my hair.
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??
