Help me with my hair woes ):
I love my curls, but I absolutely hate the way they fall. Basically, I only like one side of my head, my left (your right) side. Can someone help me decide what kind of cut to do, preferably self cut (It's taken me almost two years to grow out my hair from a dreadful neck length mullet that I got at a high end salon, so I don't really trust salons anymore) or how to style it, how to get rid of the side part, anything to make me love my hair again! My hair pretty much grew out like this from that mullet. All i do is cut the spilt ends but I haven't given my hair an actual cut.

here are some pics for reference

Can understand your reticence about going to get a professional cut after having a bad experience (have been there too, many times). I think either way is a gamble if you really want a STYLISH cut, rather than just a trim.

Sounds like you want a cut that will change your look. If so, you might wanna resist writing off all professional salons because of that one bad stylist. I'd locate a salon in your area with a good reputation for cutting curly hair. You can do some online research on who gets the best reviews. You can also set up a consultation with one or more stylist prior to committing to a cut to get a feel for the person. If you do go, I recommend bring pics of your desired style. Whatever you choose to do, good luck!

Can you clarify what exactly you don't like? Your hair looks good to me. You may just be ready for a change. I would go for a layered cut.

I basically just don't like the right side of my hair. It's flat and just blahh. I want my hair to be more voluminous and retain its length. I would just like some suggestions from other curlies on what changes I can do to my hair to make it look pretty or what kind of cut would suit my face shape//curls.
