Curse thee,!
I read good things about in the forums here so I decided to order a hair dryer from them. I placed the order on Thanksgiving Day. I got an email that it was shipped last Monday but the FedEx tracking was never updated.

I sent a couple of emails and called customer service; every time I was assured it was on its way despite the lack of FedEx updates.

I called again yesterday and spoke to someone who called FedEx who said there was a "glitch" and the package hadn't been shipped.

Annoying! I bought the hair dryer at because of the free shipping and holiday discounts, but what's the point if shipping is delayed and customer service refuses to acknowledge it?

Thanks for listening to (reading) my venting. Anyone else have similar issues? How did you deal with it? I don't often order online.

i had a similar problem recently buying from basically what i do when that happens is cut that website out of my life. there are so many good ones to choose from with great selection and amazing customer service. i know you're not talking shoes, but i'm a zappos girl all day long!

Good to know about shoebuy, Elizard. Have you tried Endless? I had good experiences with that site.

I wish CurlMart sold the dryer I ordered, but it doesn't.

Unless does something really awesome to apologize, like sending me free products or coupons, they are dead to me. Dead!

Blame FedEx. They do these screw ups all the time. Folica's shopping is amazing. I usually get my stuff the next day.

And now they've called me to tell me the item is backordered.

Wait, if it was already shipped and FedEx was the problem, your order has already been filled and either on it's way or already in a box with your name on it and should have gone out.

How is it possible that a company who says they shipped something, kept insisting it was shipped, then said there was a glitch with FedEx, but suddenly your hairdryer that was supposed to be on it's way is now backordered? I call that the "glitch" came from Folica and they blamed it on someone else. Now what are they gonna do now that they are backordered on a product that should have already been boxed and shipped and was glitching somewhere with FedEx? BS!

I'd see what kind of credits you can get because of all the hassle. You might be able to get the dryer for much less...then if they won't do anything, then I'd cancel, put up a negative review and guy it elsewhere.

I order on-line constantly and have never had many problems anywhere. Almost all of my shopping, year-round, is on-line.

I've ordered from Folica many times over the years with nary a problem.
