What is the best way to deep condition hair?

I was going to buy a Huetiful Hair Steamer, but I just got done watching a Youtube video of a girl complaining that the steamer damaged her hair and made it fall out (However, she did use it once a week and it's suspected that maybe the WEN hair products made it fall out).

Is there any other way to deep condition effectively?
What about those turban heated head wraps? Or should I just buy the steamer and try to space out how many times I use it?

If I do get the steamer, I'm thinking about opting for the Secura hair steamer over the Huetiful because it's cheaper and I heard it does the exact same thing as the Huetiful.

Oh, and here's a link to that Youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx3uAScPyuA

i have the turban heat wrap and love it. i guess you could also warm up a towel in a dryer, say, and first put a plastic cap on your hair, then the warm towel.
anything that is warm/hot to open up the cuticle of your hair.

I have the turban that curlmart sells. It is awesome! Just stick it in the microwave, pull it on, and go about your business. Super conveinent not to be bound to a chair for 20min- however long. Highly reccomend it.

I don't think the huetiful hair steamer caused her hair loss. I think it was wen. I used to use wen, as did some family members and we all had that issue with wen and extra hair falling out. Of course we stopped using the product and our hair was fine again.

I just got a huetiful steamer nd used it for the first time last week. I LOVE it. Prior to that i was deep treating with a regularnheated bonnet dryer. The steam made my hair even softer and i noticed an increase in my curl definition ( i have looser curls and their shape varies day to day)

I think as long as u are using some kind of heat for the conditioner to penetrate deeper, you are good. But if u can steam to get even more enhanced results, totally go for it!

I just posted on another thread about the Evolve conditioning cap, if you're interested in a cheaper alternative. I stumbled across it in Sally's, checked it out here, and picked one up at Walmart yesterday for $1.99. It uses your own body heat to DC, and you're not tethered to a steamer.

As I described it in the other thread, it's like flexible aluminum foil with an elastic band. Not a high-end item, but it did the trick for me.
