CG cured chronic dandruff :D

Just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone else had the same experience.

I have sensitive, dry, pain-in-the-ass skin. Its ONLY saving grace is that i'm not prone to break outs. It doesn't shed on its own, and finding the right combo of exfoliation and moisture has been a long and frustrating road. On the REALLY dry parts it will start over producing oil so that you get the oily/flaky combo, and for years all I used was tinted moisturizer because any makeup would make my skin look flaky and gross.

Coupled with that of course, was dandruff. Even on my eyebrows!
No dandruff shampoo in the world worked, except for the hard core stuff you need a RX for, and that only for a few weeks. The only time I ever got a break from it was when I dyed my hair, and that was only for about a week before it'd start again. I lost hair more often as an adult because of this, and part of why I straightened my hair so much was brushing through and using the hair dryer would remove enough of it so that I could go out in public lol. But at the same time, that would irritate my skin and make it bleed.

Going into CG, I was nervous because I couldnt blow dry/brush out any dandruff I may have. But I can safely say how after about a month in, that I'm magically cured! I guess my scalp just really hated all those harsh detergents I was using on my hair. It was dry and sad and needed some luv lol. I've been waiting to see if it was just a fluke, but ever since day 1, I haven't had a bad scalp day yet!

I have psoriasis on my scalp, mostly the nape of my neck which improved drastically when I switched to CG. I'm talking, waking in the morning with blood crusted scabs all over my scalp and in my nails from night time scratching.
I feel better most of the time doing CG. It's been amazing for me.

Oh you poor, poor bunnies. That sounds terrible! I'm so glad you found CG! I've always had dryer (drier?) more delicate skin but it's never been as bad as all that because jojoba oil is my friend and I discovered it early. I sleep with jojoba oil on my face every night and rub it into my skin a few times a week. Thanks to a suggestion from the lovely Jas I'm now limiting the time I wash my face to when I'm in the shower. No longer twice a day. That's helping since it's wintertime. I've been meaning to buy some castor oil too. . .

Hi girls. I always had dandruff and used a regular sulfate anti-dandruff shampoo. When I started CG, this harsh shampoo was prohibited and I started to co-wash. That's when my nightmares started! I tried many things : non-sulfate shampoo (which dried out my hair and didn't work), 5, 10, 20 drops of tea tree oil in the shampoo and nothing, pure apple cider vinegar (it really burned my skin and didn't word), anti-dandruff-non-sulfate shampoo (helped a little at the begging but didn't work for long time) and finally concentrated tea tree oil with olive oil (didn't work neither).
I was really thinking about quit CG, when I read in internet that people use to confound seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff (if you have it at your eyebrows, for example, its seborrheic dermatitis). And searching a cure for my real problem, I finally found that RAW HONEY could eliminate the problem. There is a serious article about that, you can read it :

Therapeutic and prophylactic effects of crude ... [Eur J Med Res. 2001] - PubMed - NCBI

I started with processed honey but it was less efficient. Basically you put it with 10% warm water in your scalp for 3 hours every 2 days during 4 weeks. And then once a week in order to never have the problem again. I only used 1 hour but I think it is enough for me. If you have already tried everything, give a try, it's worth.

Yes!!! Going CG solved a scalp problem I had for 10+ years!
