Not curly enough!

Hey ya'll. So my hair is 2C and I love when it is super curly. I generally don't have problems with frizz, but my problem is that sometimes it just doesn't curl enough and I'd like my curls to have more spring. Because of that, I twist sections all over my head with my fingers and then scrunch the twists which gives me much more defined curls. I was wondering if there was a product that you have tried that will make my hair have more defined curls instead of blah? I currently use Deva Curl spray and gel (for a few years) but I don't see them as giving me any more spring to my curls than already exists.

You'll probably want a curl enhancer of some sort. Popular ones on the board are Spiral Solutions Firm Hold Gel/Curl Enhancing Jelly, KCCC, Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic, Curly Kinks Coil Jam, As I Am Curling Jelly, etc.

The best way to choose ingredients/products is by hair properties. Here's a link to help you with yours Live Curly Live Free - Curly Hair Basics Once you determine your properties, look for people with hair like yours and see what they use (in signatures.) It's the best place to start.

I just started over & replaced all my products, so I'm still experimenting to get it just right. I was in a vicious cycle where my hair was dry & tangly, so I drowned it in moisture, wilting my curls. Three products I'm extremely happy with at the moment are:

Blended Cutie Silky Swirls Shampoo
(really cleans my hair, but leaves it soft & tangle free)

Giovanni Nutrafix
(a few times a weeks, the protein revives my curl pattern but I have to mix or follow it with moisture)
Spiral Solutions Curl Enhancing Jelly
(this leaves my hair soft & springy, but I need to find the right partner product for hold that doesn't make my hair feel gross & unnatural, because without one, the curls still eventually fall throughout the day)

...hope this is somewhat helpful,

2B/3A: fine, dry hair that "wilts"
but seems to love protein!!

Blended Cutie Silky Swirls Shampoo, Eden BodyWorks Peppermint Tea Tree Conditioner, Giovanni Nutrafix, Nutress Protein Pack (PT), Fairy Tales Coco Cabana Leave-In Sun Spray, Nutress Stop Break (LI), SSCEJ, Giovanni Magnetic Gel (styling), Turbie Twist (for plopping)
I have been sprinkling a tiny bit of Epsom Salts into my leave-in and mixing it in the palm of my hand. It kind of dissolves, and then I scrunch it in. Works well for me, but a lot of curlies report dryness from using magnesium sulfate products. I haven't tried any other curl enhancer, no money, so tough
