Which do you prefer for CO wash: Suave or VO5?

Try the passion fruit one, that one is different I think. I haven't tried the moisture milks but the passion fruit one is good.
I actually like the white rains for winter co washing, they're thicker but I miss the peach.
I don't think the peppermint one has enough in there to make a difference. I have some peppermint oil coming I'm going to add to my co washes that I prefer to see if I get no poo like results.
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
The V05 has more of a conditioning ingredient in it, name escapes me, which some people love and some people hate. The fans love it because they get softer, smoother hair from this ingredient. The naysayers hate it because it makes their hair limp and producty.

For me, V05 is more likely to give me that producty feel with continued use than Suave, but I really like it once in a while. Passion fruit smoothie is my favorite so far, I also use Suave Coconut a lot and Suave Citrus Smoothie.

ETA: I think it's these ingredients:
Cetrimonium Chloride, Stearalkonium Chloride

that show up high in the list of most V05 conditioners. They provide conditioning, not moisturizing, I *think*.

oooooooh that explains some things. I just thought the v05's weren't cleaning my hair real well.
Low porosity, medium texture.

What's the difference between conditioning an moisturizing? I thought they were the same thing.

...It's a siggie.
medusahair my Passion Fruit Smoothie says it is from the Moisture Milks line, but my hair reacts totally different (better) with it than with the Honeydew Smoothie from the same line. I also learned that diluting my co-wash with distilled water has helped me to avoid some of that producty buildup feel. I'd go totally CG if I could avoid this but sometimes I have to reach for the poo to release my scalp from that heavy feeling.

Unfortunately even with a mild poo like Elucence or Activate I end up with less curl doing so...I never knew how much shampoo had such a straightening effect on my wavy/curlies until all of you clued me in on CG. Those dang sulfates were likely the cause of much of my straw and frizz too...I'll never go back to those old ways again!!

Shout out to LavenderCurls, if it weren't for her and HalfWavyHalfCurly's guidance through all this my hair would have never had such a wonderful BOUNCE! Thinking of changing my screenname to OINGOBOINGO!

Modified CG, co wash diluted VO5, LOVE Elucence MBC & MBS! Activate's nice too.
Still looking for a styling product...suggestions welcome!
Ah geez...moisturizing vs conditioning. I'm remembering a thread, probably gone by now, where Lauriebeth had some great insights about V05 and the chloride ingredients I mentioned. If I recall, the distinction is that a conditioning ingredient gives you the look and feel of moisture, by coating the hair and smoothing the cuticle, but it doesn't add moisture to the hair or even necessarily hold moisture in. So it makes your hair look and feel softer and healthier on the outside. Moisture plumps the hair from the inside.

Some curlie love the V05 Kiwi Lime for cowashing. I have 2 bottles that I haven't tried yet .

ETA: Not wanting to put words into LB's mouth...so if my memory is incorrect, apologies in advance!

Ahh ok well in that case the passion fruit is the only moisture milks i"ve tried.

Yes the passionfruit has peach in it, that's why I"m using it! Suave has a citrus one that has peach in it too but I can't find it at the stores at the moment
