more product and handling == less curl?
I've been experimenting with all the products and advice I've gotten here.

I'm not too far into it yet but one thing I have noticed is - The more "stuff" I put into it and do to it, the less curl. Less frizz, but my former big ole fat sausage ringlets just fall right out.

Less stuff and and work, the more curl. More frizz in back (hoping a good cut and continued conditioning will help that) but the curl just sort of happens as it's meant and stays there.

Anybody else experience this? I don't mean to sound ungrateful, my hair is def softer and more conditioned now - I just seem to be hitting between a rock and hard place RE product/procedure and letting it do it's own thing.

For example, the diffuser that gives me the most and longest lasting curl is very different than the one meant for curly hair - it narrows towards it's tip (if that makes sense) and just blasts one little section.

I tend to handle my hair a bit to get the crunch out out but I definitely can't have too much product in my hair or it weighs it down and pulls the curl out. I need medium hold gel and usually I just have a leave in under that although occasionally I have say Loob or a Rusk BG under it and over a leave in

I don't get less curl from using too much product just shrinkage depending on what i'm using I like my hair to be defined, frizz free touchable but still "big" if i over do the prodcuts its looks nice to other people to me feels thinner.
And I also play with my hair until it's dry - mostly to break it up get rid of any crunch that may be waiting to happen.
I find the best way to do my hair is put my products on when it's soaking wet, that way if i *do* happen to put too much on some how it doesn't makea difference.
