Curls are too tight!

My curls having been curling up much tighter than usual lately! It's making my hair look shorter and I driving me crazy. My hair is halfway down my back when wet and all the way up to my shoulders when dry. I have been using None of your frizzness conditioner in the shower, when I come out of the shower I use Garnier Fructis sleek and shine intensely smoothing leave in conditioner, Frizz ease straight fixation smoothing creme and after that I have been trying a whole bunch of products. Such as Bb curl conscious calming creme, Rusk Straight anti frizz lotion, Suave Max hold sculpting gel, MOP defining creme. I can't seem to find a good mix. Anyone have any suggestions to help me get my hair looser and back to normal? Please help, it's driving me crazy!!!!!
I don't have this issue, but on the deva curl website, they suggest putting clips on the ends of your curls while drying to add weight and lengthen them. Hope that helps.

Stylers: flax/okra gel or KCCC + CJ PP or JC Spiralicious
Experimenting with Got2B Ultra gel and loving it so far!
Thanks, yes I've tried this and it doesn't help :-\ Any other suggestions?
What about banding (think that's what it's called)?

try using a lot of hard hold gel. i find it weighs down my curls slightly, leaving them a lot looser than say if i used mousse
I just started using suave max hold gel. I haven't seen too much improvement yet but I'm giving it a week. Anyone else have luck with this product?
