Great hair after taking down 3 day old messy bun?

Today when I took down my messy bun I did Saturday Morning, I was shocked. I had amazing curl definition, well for me. My hair is usually strings it seems like. As well as LOT less frizz, and my hair didn't a gigantic hump at the nape of my neck like usual. And finally, IT WAS AMAZINGLY SOFT. Not my usual "Feels like a bunch of string soft". But big soft curls.

Obviously I had frizz at my crown though since I slept on it with no regret.

The routine I do is really simple. In the shower every morning (Yes, because I have no idea how to salvage my curls without water) I comb my hair with a wide tooth comb and Tresemme Flawless Curls conditioner. Once done, I slather that same conditioner in as a leave-in. Then I use a squirt bottle and spray Olive Oil in my hair over it.

I'm thinking the reason for this is all the stuff I added got to soak in completely? Maybe I should start showering at night and making buns w/ products?

PS. Forgot to add that my hair actually MOVES. And isn't stuck in a blob like usual. Hence the usual half foot hump back there.

I believe that the Tresemme Flawless Curls conditioner has silicones in it, unless it's been reformulated. I would double check your bottle! Silicones could be the reason your products (such as the olive oil) aren't soaking in right away, and you're having issues. I would ditch the Flawless Curls conditioner and trade it out for one of the tresemme naturals conditioners such as the nourishing moisture, or vibrantly smooth. You'll need to clarify with a sulfate shampoo, or cleanser with coco-betaine too. Then you'll be on your way to getting great hair EVERY day!

That last part sounds like an informercial, haha.

Oh that makes sense. I'll be sure to pick those up then! As long as they are in big bottles (30oz or more), since I use so much per use.

I really like the Tresemme Naturals! I use the one with the black top (in my sig).
