I need a change!

Hi all,

I have long, 3b hair that is almost completely free of layers or any shape whatsoever haircut-wise. I've been growing it out to get a blank canvas, so to speak. I have been shampoo-free since January. I condition every 2-3 days depending on how tangly/matted it gets. I use Catwalk Curls Rock occasionally, but often I don't bother with product. I stopped dyeing it over two years ago, so approximately the top half is my natural colour. I don't really have any kind of hair care regimen (but I want one and am going to start trying new things for my hair!)

It's time for me to get a cut, but without changing the length - I just don't want to be a triangle head anymore.

I have a hair blog which is basically just selfies, so you can see what my hair is like on a day-to-day basis. The name of it sounds really bad... but it's SFW selfies, I promise.

Any ideas on what I should do with it all? Layers? Something else? Any suggestions on hair care?
