Biolage Defining Elixir question

I've been using BRHG for the last week and my hair seems to look shorter everyday. This morning I did my normal routine and my hair just looked awful. So I washed my hair and started over again except this time I added Biolage Definig Elixir before the BRHG and I didn't section my hair to apply the products. My hair looks longer again and the curls turned out great.

I'm not following the CG routine, but I've been trying to avoid bad ingredients. I noticed that the Elixir and the BRHG both have Copolymer (don't know if this is bad or not) but the Elixir also has Dimethicone Copolyol far down on the list. Is this product a no no if I'm contemplating CG?

that cone is water soluble so you're good to go!
Low porosity, medium texture.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
