My Devacut Experience

I saw a Deva-trained stylist last night and overall had a good experience. She gave me a lot of advice and actually told me my hair is overconditioned and I'm using too much product. I started CG about a month ago and apparently I still need to perfect it.

She used Deva products on my hair after the dry cut. I wasn't super thrilled with the way she styled my hair. Both my husband and son said it looked like I had a perm. She cut a side bang which I like a lot. I restyled my hair this morning and have been getting compliments left and right. I am so happy.

I do like the No-Poo and One C but hate the B'Leave-in, AnGell, and Set It Free. I have only used these a couple times so I may put them on the Swap Board.

I will definitely be going back to her!
I am glad that you got a good haircut, it makes all the difference.

Also, your tagline is wonderful, we need to be shouting it from the mountaintops.
YEA! So glad you had a nice experience!
Cowash - No Poo
Conditioner - One Condition
Gel - Light Defining Gel

Looking to try Devacurl Decadence line next! Can't wait to try it.
Are you in L.A.? I see you've got a Dodgers' avatar. If so, can you tell me the name of the stylist and the salon?

Also, How is the side bang working out for you? Do you have to blow dry it straight? My current stylist keeps threatening/suggesting this...but I haven't tried it yet.
St. Louis and Hockeymom - Thank you!

La wavy - The stylist is Catherine Weber, she is in Valencia. The salon is X'Poze One - (661) 255-8830. I really like the side swept bang and was a little worried when she first cut it. To dry the bang I just take the diffuser off and run my fingers through the bang keeping the heat and speed on low. It really only took about a minute to style the bang. I am really happy with the shorter layers all over. HTH
Thanks for the info, Pink Sugar. Valencia is a little far for me. I currently go to a stylist in Venice, but maybe you've given me the courage to go for the bang. Time to mix it up a little!
That's wonderful that you got a great cut that you love. Any pics to share? I'd love to see the bang.

-- gone, but never forgotten.
Thank you! I'll try to take some pictures this weekend. I LOVE the bang.
We have a Deva trained stylist here and I would love to go to him but his cuts start at $100.00. That is just outside my price range, plain and simple. Honestly I probably could go once, but I can't (and won't) afford that on a regular basis. Just ridiculous.

Mine didn't cost near that much, but my hair is just above my shoulders.
Yes, please post pics!

My choices are so limited around here for hair cuts. Maybe one of these days, I'll make the trek to Richmond, VA to get a deva cut.
