Tell me how you use these gels

Okay, so I went a little nuts ordering some new gels that I've wanted to try. My package just came yesterday and I've got Abba Weightless Gel, Biosilk RHG and Aveda Flax Seed Gel. Anyone want to share how they use any of these? Especially what if anything you use underneath and how much gel you use.

Thanks, ladies!

Oh, and in case anyone is looking to order any of these, I got them from - they have free shipping right now and with the discounts they already give it's a great deal. And if anyone's a BRHG user and wanting to stock up on the old formula they have it.

I know there are lots of posts about these, but it's too time consuming to search for them and read through them all.

I use the Abba gel and BRHG the same way. Lately I've just been using recoil under them, but in the winter I use a leave-in (mixed with the recoil) and in the summer I use Curl Keeper (both under the recoil). I use maybe a dime-sized amount for each section of hair. They're both very strong and should be used sparingly, so adjust according to your hair's length and thickness!

Thanks Gemini13! I think I'll try the Abba first - good to know it works well with my beloved re:coil!

I've been using the Aveda flax seed gel and it has become my favorite! I probably use maybe 2-3 quarter-sized amounts & I've been using the B&A method (there's a long thread going about this) and having very consistent results. Great stuff! - pw: gibber -- Pics Added 7/10/11
